Well! Google says “You are paying too much attention to your own wants, needs, and well-being, and not enough attention to others.”
A good person thinks of others first. Let me illustrate this with a storyYeah!! It’s a love story (which is one sided though) of badri and vaidhei. At the end which would make you think what love is all about...??
It was the college where badri and vaidhei met for the first time...
Millennia’s possess a habit of teasing the friends in the group who are pretty much close to each other (friend-zone) & at the end to surprise you it turns out to be true...
Vaidhei was the cutest girl of the college and badri was the millionaire.
Being cute, flaunting around, happy-go-lucky vaidhei was more than popular in the class.
Though being a millionaire with a caring heart and Titled to be the best guy in the group was the badri.
It was the first year of the college where the group of friends with psychological similarities hangout every time. There was some special connection between the two
The story starts like this… Both staying in hostel 4km away blamed each other for being far for no good reason, more than continues chats and phone calls kept them engaged on every day...
Apart from being a bench-mate, Helping, caring each other & walking around with friends, Everyone felt that they are specially connected.
Well here's a twist in the story...
Vaidhei already had a Romeo in her life, who was a perfect marriage material.
But badri “the tough guy” knew how to respect ones feelings... He knew how to hide his 1000 feelings to only see the smile on vaidhei's face every day.
Romeo was just a photo frame on the wall. The actual bad guy or the villain in this love story is vaidhei's friend (jay)
Jay is actually not a villain of the story but a main mention... Jay was just another friend in the college just like others with badri n vaidhei...
Times slipped and things gradually changed, where badri built a strong bond with vaidhei... After a year of special friendship, hangouts, gifts, talks, there came a point where badri had to take a step back to think what was going on...
On a random day badri disappeared form the hostel without telling anyone made sure he had some time to think and relax...
But what was he all thinking about!!
May be the way he cared for vaidhei, Catered every need of her… From a small assignment to vodka shot just to make sure to put a smile on her face or probably the way he secretly protected her.
Badri was a guy who made sure he's not boozing in a party only to protect vaidhei and watched her sleep whole night at the night outs party so that vaidhei slept with no disturbance...
Badri always believed Kisi cheez ko dil se chaho to puri kainaat use tumse milane ki koshish main lag jaati hai. He always had a positive hope towards vaidhei.
There was only vaidhei everywhere for badri like simran to Raj in DDLJ … the over possessiveness lead to many disappointments’ but soon badri realized that vaidhei had a boyfriend and things had to change..
Badri now expected vaidhei to be his a girl best friend. But, as a quote says “expectations hurt” badri was also hurt here.
Jay who entered vaidhei’s life like a friend and for some good reason stayed as a special friend.
Badri and vaidhei had many many and many more misunderstandings’ after the entry of jay...
“How could a person change his priorities every moment “was the voice murmuring in badri’s head... Yes!! Why should it not? After all the explanation and misunderstandings vaidhei chose jay over badri...
Badri was heartbroken... All the special things, love, respect, friendship, sacrifices everything vanished in a moment.
Was he being selfish? Or obsessed with that pursuit of happiness?
Maybe because for her personal well-being, at certain point would leave badri and move-on with the life? - thought that broke & confused badri...
Vaidhei somewhere around the bush didn’t wanted to loose badri nor Jay. Which made her keep separate secrets with both. Was she selfish here? Or she had to take one out? To avoid the misunderstandings?
Or the well-wishers (so called) played the role to take the profit out!! Just like the way monkey takes the cap when two people fight for the cap!!
After a couple of the days... badri with a mug of beer on a table, a person who observed badri lost in thoughts without taking a sip from couple of hours.. Approaches badri...
Fellow: love break-up?
Badri: no I was acting stupid!!
Fellow: and it’ll be broken forever, if you couldn’t fix it by saying sorry?
Badri: Will it be still broken if I walk away?
Fellow: Some people change and want to go in different direction!!
Badri: she didn’t even see the friend within...
Fellow: Yak it up! Speak out all the fears and hopes and everything that you believe in.
Badri: I wish we could have a happy ending..!!
Two minutes conversation and the fellow left the table... which made badri move on...
Is it love or a game of being selfish on our own path?
